We can all be Green Thumbs

Landscape Industries Association WA Inc (LIAWA) was formed in 1979 as a non-profit organisation, representing those involved in the landscape industry in Western Australia. Some 40 years on, its mission is still clear; to support and inspire all professional landscapers, garden designers and landscape suppliers to be leaders within an environmentally, ethically and commercially sustainable landscape industry.

LIAWA actively promotes a high level of professionalism across the industry and in doing so, all members go through a vetting and approvals process and are bound by LIAWA’s Code of Ethics and Values. This ensures excellent standards of workmanship and high levels of customer service are constantly maintained and demonstrated.

Soil Solver Pty Ltd has been a member or the LIAWA for 4 years and proudly supports the Association as a Bronze sponsor.

A key component of the Association is offering vital training and mentoring to new and established landscapers. With the harsh environment of WA gardens and urban spaces, we require intelligent establishment for on-going sustainability of the gardens and our resources.

Biennial Awards of Excellence are held to celebrate the inspiration, dedication, and skills within the industry. In 2021 Soil Solver® Pty Ltd entered in the Product of the Year category with our flagship product Clay Plus Minerals. Competing against five other worthy products, Soil Solver® had to example the benefits of the product and also how the company has worked to promote and provide sustainable practises and products.

Our 2020 expansion across Australia was a key factor in Soil Solver’s growth and gave the advantage of not only promoting a unique WA product but the important message on how to conserve water and support healthy plants nation-wide with one, permanent addition to the soil.

Another new initiative of the LIAWA is the Green Thumbs podcast. This is a regular podcast available to industry and general public where professionals share their experiences and knowledge in support of our mission to develop water-retentive, healthy gardens which do not negatively impact on the environment.

Soil Solver® was thrilled to be invited to speak with Association CEO Matt Lunn and Board Member, Landscaper Ben Simms to talk about the benefits and differences of Kaolin clay and minerals in sandy soils.
